RED LION- Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced two grants for organizations in York County. The first is a $652,053 multimodal grant for the York County History Center. The York County History Center is currently designing a new facility which will be located at West Philadelphia Street and North Pershing Avenue in York. The grant will be used to make improvements to the current railroad track that runs close to the new facility and improve pedestrian and vehicular traffic flows. The multimodal grant was made available as a result of funding provided for in Act 89 of 2013.

RED LION- Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) congratulated Congressman Lloyd Smucker on opening a new office in Red Lion. With the redrawing of the congressional maps by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Congressman Smucker now represents a large portion of York County. The new office will be located at 100 Redco Avenue, Red Lion PA.
HARRISBURG – House Republican leaders reacted to the governor’s call to increase state spending by nearly $1 billion for fiscal year 2019-20. The governor presented his $34 billion spending proposal today in front of a joint session of the General Assembly.
RED LION- Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced that the Red Lion Area School District, the Dallastown Area School District, the Eastern York School District and the York Academy will each receive a $35,000 grant to expand computer science classes and teacher training.

RED LION- Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced a $250,000 grant for Community REACH Inc., which is based in Red Lion. Community REACH is a nonprofit focused on helping low-income families in the Red Lion, Dallastown and Eastern York school districts. The organization operates a food pantry and a clothing drive, provides life skill training, and collects and distributes school supplies for local students.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced today that Union Volunteer Fire Co. in Felton has been awarded $8,388 in grant money strategically directed at local firefighting forces in communities with fewer than 10,000 residents.
RED LION- Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced a $750,000 grant for the Salvation Army of Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware to support the Pathway of Hope initiative. This grant will cover program costs in York, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Reading and Carlisle. It also allows the Salvation Army to launch Pathway of Hope programs in Boyertown, Norristown, Pottstown and Levittown starting in January 2019.
HARRISBURG – The York County Republican Delegation to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, which consists of Reps. Seth Grove (R-Dover), Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York Township), Dawn Keefer (R-Dillsburg), Kate Klunk (R-Hanover), Keith Gillespie (R-Hellam) and House Appropriations Chairman Stan Saylor (R-Red Lion), will offer a free Active Shooter Seminar to residents.
RED LION – Rep. Stan Saylor (R-York) announced a $1 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program grant for the Kaltreider-Benfer Library in Red Lion. This grant will be used to add an additional 3,771 square feet to the existing library by building on the adjacent concrete pad area to create space for the children’s library, teen center and private study areas. The total cost of the project is $2.3 million.
HARRISBURG - State Reps. WHAT: State Reps. Keith Gillespie (R-Hellam) and Stan Saylor (R-Red Lion) will honor the life and service of Martin W. Kondor, a graduate of Eastern York High School who died in the line of duty on April 29, 2004. As the result of Act 4 of 2018, the Codorus Furnace Road bridge over the Codorus Creek in East Manchester and Hellam townships will be named the SPC Martin W. Kondor Memorial Bridge.
